MSC
Here are some handy tips we've learned from sailing with Royal Caribbean International:
MSC offers several different "experience" levels for passengers to choose from at the time of booking. The Bella experience allows guests to get the best possible pricing while allowing MSC to choose the stateroom assignment and dining time. Fantastica offers the opportunity for you and/or your travel agent to select your stateroom and dining time, often an important consideration for groups. Guests who choose the Aurea category will be treated to the best cruising experience MSC has to offer, including priority embarkation and disembarkation, the most spacious staterooms in premium locations, as well as an assortment of amenities and treats. Speak with your travel agent before booking your cruise to make sure you book the right experience for your cruise.
The MSC Voyagers club is the loyalty program offered by MSC that allows guests to accrue points toward special offers and benefits. Guests who have a loyalty program from another cruise line can apply for MSC's Status Match program that will match their status and provide similar or higher benefits on MSC cruises. Do NOT sign up for MSC Voyagers Club if you plan to apply for the Status Match program!
As soon as you have your confirmation number, you can log into MSC Cruises to start planning your cruise activities! You can pre-book shore excursions, drink packages, spa treatments, dinner reservations at specialty restaurants, and much more!
MSC Cruises now has its own app, MSC for Me. Depending on your sailing, you may be able to use it for online check-in, to view daily activities, make reservations for onboard activities, view deck plans, and access your onboard account. You can download it from Apple or Google Play.
Luggage limitations: Each guest is limited to checking in:
two suitcases per person* (not exceeding 90x75x43 cm in size and 23 kg in weight per bag)
two pieces of hand luggage per person* (not exceeding 56x45x25 cm in size and 23 kg in weight per bag).
The maximum amount of luggage in each stateroom must not exceed 100 kg and/or 8 pieces total for all passengers in the same stateroom.
Any piece of luggage exceeding the allowance will not be accepted at Check-in.
In the interest of health and safety, beverages and food (including partially eaten or home cooked items) may not be brought on board either. Exception: dry, packaged and commercially produced foods.
The MSC FunPass is available on select ships and offers a pre-pay option for premium activities and experiences at a discounted rate. Not available on the MS Seascape.
Two days before the end of each cruise, guests receive directly in their staterooms the disembarkation procedures and luggage tags. Please leave labelled luggage outside the stateroom door the night before disembarking. The luggage will be collected and delivered directly in the terminal building during disembarkation. Please note that the luggage embarkation and disembarkation process can vary between ports.
