Word Formation & Affixation
This Unit builds on Parts of Speech and deals with how to:
increase receptive vocabulary - what we understand
increase productive vocabulary - what we say or write
reduce the learning effort needed to remember vocabulary
Follow the steps below to complete this unit:
1. Read an overview of ‘Pronunciation’. Use one of the online dictionaries to look up any words you do not know.
2. Read the Language Focus on WordFormation and Affixation.
