As our 40th reunion approaches, I suspect I may be the only member of our class still in school. In 2003, I decided to try and make some sense out of the 30 or so years I had spent in journalism and government, so I started working on a Ph.D. in media studies at Rutgers. I am now in the dissertation stage and hope to become “Dr. Lee” ahead of my daughter, who is in optometry school. Aside from my doctoral studies, I work full-time writing about media and politics for a NJ think tank called the Hall Institute. I also teach a course or two on these topics at Rutgers each semester. It’s a full plate, but I enjoy it all, and fortunately there is a lot of overlap among my various activities.
I met my wife Anne at college and we have been happily married for 33 years. Since 1987, we have been living in Hamilton Square, NJ, where we raised our two daughters.
