Release of National Capital Travel Trend Analysis

This informative document dated Jan 2011 by the TRANS committee uses the Origin-Destination survey of 2005 and compares it to previous surveys from 1985 and 1995 to show trends in population, car ownership, and travel patterns.

It then suggests ways in which these trends should be taken into account to adjust models and projections into the future. Presumably much of this analysis will be used as part of the planning and modelling that will go into the 2013 update of the 2008 version of the Transportation Master Plan.
