2.5 Regenerative Medicine (2000-2011) and (2000-2014)

2000-2011

Our 2012 paper on regenerative medicine was published in March 2012.

The Nobel Prize committee announced the 2012 Nobel Prize in Medicine in October 2012 to research on induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs).

In our 2012 paper, we identified Cluster #7 as the hottest area in relation to regenerative medicine. Two papers in particular stand out. As it turns out, the work behind these papers received the 2012 Nobel Prize.

Stem cell research and regenerative medicine are related but distinct research areas. Induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) research has a unique role in regenerative medicine, or more precisely the future of regenerative medicine.
