METC Conference

Post date: Feb 17, 2011 8:19:31 PM

I was  very fortunate these past 3 days.

I was once again able to attend METC (Midwest Education Technology Conference), and had the priviledge to present a session on the use of Web 2.0 tools to enhance Foreign Language Education.

The name os it was "Web 2.0: It's all Foreign to me (Round 2)"

The focus of the session was to provide attendees with concrete classroom examples of tech integration.. I shared your succes stories... From writing skills (thanks to Twitter) to speaking skills (Google Voice), I shared and shared and shared. And they loved it.

I cannot tell you enough how thankful I am that you are my students... and that you are all so daring and willing to explore along with me. There is no words to describe how proud I am of all the efforts you put into it. I would not have anything to present (anything but ideas that is) if it were not for you...

So, again, from my heart to yours.... THANK YOU...

Let's keep it up.

Next steps:

Edcamp Omaha (March 26) and a Professional Development session this summer in the Saint Louis area.
