Discipline Plan

CLASSROOM DISCIPLINE PROCEDURES

The discipline procedures in use in my class are based on the B.I.S.T. program. My main goal is for any “situation” to be resolved as early as possible. I believe in a well balanced mix of GRACE (smiles, respect, calm tone of voice, attentive ear…) and ACCOUNTABILITY (being on time, work done, finding solution to frustrating situations, and accepting the natural consequences to our actions…)

Classroom Rules are as follows:

  • BE ON TIME & PREPARED TO WORK
  • PARTICIPATE
  • USE COMMON SENSE & RESPECT

Behavior Consequences

  • 1st offense
    • Teacher/Student discussion
    • Student may be asked to move to safe seat and fill out a think sheet
  •  2nd offense
    • Teacher/Student discussion
    • Student will be asked to go to the Buddy Room and fill out a Think Sheet in order to rejoin the class
    • Parents will be contacted for input
  •  3rd offense
    • Teacher/Student discussion
    • Student will be sent to the office with a think Sheet
    • Conference with Parent and Student requested in order to design a protective plan to help the student avoid difficult situations in the future
