Welcome to Astronomy!

This is an exciting course in which you will challenge your own opinions, develop new ones, acknowledge our miniscuity in the universe, and ponder our role within it. We will have star parties and field trips, conduct labs and use real astronomical data. This class is largely observation and project based. My hope is that you will leave this course with a curiosity for knowledge and a desire to explore the unknown.
