I was selected to serve as an assistant referee along with Lee Schmigdall to assist Parker Lemire, the man in the middle for the state championship match between Madison West and Marquette University High School. It ended 1-0 for Madison and was a great game and great honor to work with my mentor and assignor, Parker, who has helped me so much along this journey. (11-8-25)

Post game meal at a great taco truck in Independence, WI on the way back from Arcadia with Lee and Parker.  5-0 for Arcadia over a Three Lakes team that battled the whole way. Great game and great environment. Succesful dress rehearsal for the state championship match the next weekend. (11-1-25)

Amazing game with Somerset winning 4-3 over Rice Lake. Great to work a game with my colleague and friend Andrei as well as my friend David! I have learned a lot from both of these people so it was fun to be in the center this time. (10-30-25)

Always a great day when I can work a game with my dear friends and colleagues in the Math, Stats, and Computer Science department: Andrei and Saleh.  We had to work for it, with Saleh driving us about 3 hours up to the beautiful Three Lakes Wisconsin. Great game 3 Lakes 2, Northland Lutheran 0. (10-25-25)

This game was windy, cold and rainy. I was cold for 2 days after this one, but it was a good bonding experience.  Jacob in the middle with assistance from Eric who was not protected by the stands from the wind like I was. (10-21-25)

Got to be the center referee in a playoff match with two of my favorite referees and colleagues from UW - Stout, Andrei and Saleh.  Was a great game, but very hot and poor Saleh was fasting. Big thanks for him being willing to still help me out! Hoping we can make it a tradition to get the three of us together for a playoff game each season! (6-5-25)
