Revising a Resume

A large aspect of the cooperative work to school class is career and college readiness. Ideally, the course would have students working part-time in a local internship related to their career goals. In preparing students for part-time work, we developed resumes for their success.

Throughout my student teaching experience, I worked with a student named Cody to revise his resume into one that reached excellence. Revision is an important part of the learning process, as it allows students to recognize their weaknesses and grow from them. I was able to help Cody represent his strengths and revise early drafts of his resume. His following drafts and comments are below. I have removed personal information such as his phone number and address for confidentiality purposes.
