Please find below, my recorded SIOP social studies lessons on push and pull factors, and graph and map readings found within a Human Migration Unit, as well as a written copy of a reflective Pearl Harbor lesson. These lessons aim to meet content and language objectives by providing comprehensible input to allow English learners to make full use of supports in developing their linguistic proficiency. As beginning pieces, these lessons prove very important to my professional growth as I transition from a more general delivery of lessons with special education supports and modifications to lessons which also focus on promoting language objectives and linguistic strategies and supports My overall goal in these practices is to better serve a general, special needs and multilingual student population as effectively as possible.
