About Me

Thank you for visiting my e-portfolio site! My name is Carmen Montoya, and I am a career changer who holds a Masters of Science degree as well as an Initial Certification in Childhood Education and Special Education, Grades 1-6 from the Touro Graduate School of Education. I have also completed coursework for a TESOL Advanced Certificate for grades K-12 and have fieldwork experience with grades K - 8  within instructional, sports and arts settings This phenomenal experience has further reinforced my interest in cultivating academic excellence and character growth among students, as well as developing  strong interpersonal skills with administration and fellow staff members. I hope to teach for some time, working with students at the grade and middle school levels, and  in the future, would like to work with the adult population. My varied interests are writing, design, history, math problem solving, traveling and music.
