About Me

Thank you for visiting my e-portfolio site! My name is Carmen Montoya, and I am a career changer who holds a Masters of Science in Education as well as a Special Education Certification for All Grades: PreK- 12.

 I also hold a TESOL Advanced Certificate for grades K-12 with fieldwork experience in grades K - 8  within instructional, sports and arts settings. My fieldwork and classroom experience continually refine my efforts to promote academic excellence and character growth among students. My experience has also allowed me to work within various settings, further strengthening my interpersonal skills with administration, fellow staff members and student families alike. I hope to teach for some time, working with students at the middle school level, and  in the future, would like to work with adult populations. My varied interests are writing, design, history, math problem solving, traveling and music.
