If you know of an event which may be of interest to our members please e-mail Andrew and it will be included on the calendar. Please advise the start time and venue, destination, likely mileage and duration, and your telephone number.

If the weather is bad the run may be cancelled. The run leader will do his / her best to get the website updated by contacting our webmaster. Always check the website before setting off! If the weather is bad but the site hasn't been updated please contact the run leader by phone. We will always do our best to make sure people don't have wasted journeys, particularly in the rain! 

Items below in blue are confirmed / official and qualify for the 'Bill Hignett Mileage Award'. Items in grey are for information only.

2025 Calendar

OCTOBER

18th, Saturday, Draycott Run, Ian. [Route TomTom 1]  [Route Tom Tom 2]  From Queen's Arms (now closed) at Bosley, 9.00 a.m. If you like medium winding and hilly roads the this trip to Draycot in the Clay will be perfect. Could be some water action too – wellies not required.  Two separate runs,  one there and after a burger and a brew,  one back.  The outgoing is mainly in Derbyshire,  the return is via Staffs roads.

19th, Sunday. BSAOC Members Meeting, Long Compton Village Hall. (No run planned but mileage would be awarded to anybody who attends on a BSA)

25th - 26th National Motorcycle Museum 'Live'

26th, Sunday, Season Closer - Memorial Run. Please make this a priority in your diaries! It would be good to finish the season on a high with everybody turning out for the "Season Closer - Memorial Run" to remember all those who have contributed to the club but are, sadly, no longer with us.  The Season Closer is, by tradition, a family event to which friends and family are invited to take part. To ensure that the event goes ahead, regardless of weather, participants can use any vehicle, including cars, though extra credit will be given to anybody who turns up on a bike, particularly a BSA. The event will be of the usual Treasure Hunt style requiring a journey of up to 15 miles. There will be prizes for the runner-up and third place, awarded on the day. The winner(s) will receive the prestigious trophy at the Awards Evening in February.

Please note that the event will take place from The Cock o' Budworth, CW9 6HB, and commences at 12.00 noon, though arrival at any time between 12.00 and 1.00 p.m. will be OK.

The Cock o' Budworth have been very accommodating so please support them if you can by purchasing drinks and/or meals. I can recommend the pie!

The treasure hunt will be very easy - all you have to do is recognise some bike components. The quiz will also be very easy provided you have a little knowledge of BSA models. Family members can team up with others who may (or may not!) have better knowledge. Andrew
