OCTOBER

10th/11th Sat/Sun, Stafford Classic Motorcycle Show

Sun. 11th Phil's Goostrey Run. Meet at Streat Eat Middlewich at 9.45 for a prompt departure at 10 o'clock.  Get there early if you'd like a brew and a bacon roll before setting off.  The route is approximately 70 miles of pleasant Cheshire lanes, based on the VMCC's recent Goostrey Run.  Suitable for all BSAs from Bantams upwards.

17th. Sat. Draycott in the Clay Steam Rally. Set off from The Legs of Man, Newcastle Rd, Arclid, Sandbach CW11 2UG at 9.00 am. This will allow time to get to the event and gain a good position. If you can, bring a piece of wood or side stand platform as the ground can be soft. We have been given free entrance as we will be displaying our bikes in the wooded area as we did last year. Ian

18th. Sun. 'Season Closer - Memorial Run'. In keeping with previous years, participants can take part on, or in, any vehicle. Guests and family members are welcome as usual. I have managed to book the Cock o' Budworth again. The run will be the usual style, i.e. identifying things at locations on a map, followed by a short quiz. You can start as soon as you arrive - any time after 12.00, latest start would be 1.00 p.m. Please bring a pen. We are grateful to the staff at The Cock o' Budworth for providing the venue free of charge; please support them by buying food and/or drink on the day. I can recommend the pie!

Let's finish the season with a good turnout to remember those who are no longer with us. - Andrew
