I am interested in the empirical analysis of issues related to the internal structure and semantic properties of linguistic constructions (compound words, grammatical constructions, etc.).
My current research interests focus on the non-arbitrary links between the form and meaning of constructions from a corpus-based approach concerning the relationship between language and human cognitive abilities.
I also propose an approach based on "related events" such as causes, results, means, purposes, and manners, which are the various matters in the background of a verb. Adopting this related-event approach, I aim to achieve a high-resolution linguistic analysis and shed light on the connections between concepts in the human brain.
