King Street Hideout, located where Spanish restaurant Barsa once served, is now open daily. The new bar is housed at the corner of King and Line streets, where the 12-acre Courier Square project is starting to take shape.
Owner Zachary Dennis and his team are using the establishment's spacious patio to host DJs on the weekends. Patrons are also visiting King Street Hideout for its $5 happy hour featuring beer, house wine and frozen drinks, he said.
In the evening, the music goes up and the lights go down, catering to those looking for the type of nightlife experience that defines this stretch of Charleston.
