Our CBR Logo

Wonder where our logo came from? Since Beer Runners are a national and international running community, we wanted something that was connected to both the Beer Runners and Charleston. We're proud of the unique identity our Charleston Beer Runners bring to the Beer Runners community and we want to showcase it!

The iconic crescent from the South Carolina flag is meant to connect Charleston and draw the eye to an easily identifiable logo. We originally played with inverting it to form the shape of a "C" but decided the original orientation looked much nicer. The font for the lettering is meant to mimic the hand-painted lettering that can be seen on many established stores in downtown Charleston; we're paying homage to the local heritage of the town.

The bridge on the shoe print is the famous Cooper River Bridge, a well known Charleston landmark (which we also enjoy running on).

And we chose hops to decorate the logo sides to show the fact that we don't just drink any beer, we drink good and delicious beer! The runners are self explanatory, but as every good Beer Runner knows, our toast To The Professor is part of the foundation that makes us a unique running community. It's only fitting that the professor shall propel us forward in our endeavors, so the toast rests below our feet just like the ground we run on.

We hope you enjoyed learning a little bit about our logo! We seek to create strong community ties and hope that it shows with our first impression.
