'PLEASE CLICK HERE OR PICTURE TO DOWNLOAD'

I have produced a Guidebook relating to Betley & Area in the English Civil War, which is published online here, and is available to download, by those Website viewers interested. Maybe you would like to visit the sites inside?

The booklet featured as part of a 'Civil War Display' at 2017's 'Border History Fair', which took place on Saturday 14th October 2017, 10am to 3pm, at Betley Village Hall, hosted by 'Betley Local History Society'.

The 'Civil War Display' featured my friends, re-enactors Stephen Simpson and Alan Pennell, dressed as Royalist and Parliamentarian Musketeers, along with all the equipment and effects of the English Civil War period. They were well received and made the day!

Please see photos of my friends and the display below!

The Guidebook also features artwork by my friend Roy P. Rushton.

It includes the local history of the English Civil War (1642-1651), and includes Barthomley's 'Church of the Massacre', Crewe Hall, Betley, Heighley Castle, and Doddington Hall.

It comprises of a full colour booklet, with artwork and photographs, in A5 size, with 16 pages.
