October 2019 wish list from Crittenton Services:
Stocking Sponsorships
Our kids would love to have a special stocking filled with goodies on Christmas morning. Thanks to our wonderful donors all year long, we have handmade stockings that can be filled so that you do not have to purchase them.
You will receive a list of names and ages for the children that you will be providing a stocking for. Along with this list, we will include some of the special items, such as the favorite candy of the child to help personalize each stocking.
Please do not feel obligated to “over-purchase” for the items in the stocking, we would just like them to have a stocking on Christmas morning.
Help by providing a Family Basket
Family baskets are a collection of basic hygiene and cleaning supplies given to our poorest clients that we see in their homes. In addition to Crittenton’s group homes that you may be familiar with, we serve families in the community. They are the working poor, struggling to regain or maintain custody of their children. Child Protective Service officials have identified families in crisis and refer them to us for help in hopes of keeping their families intact whenever possible.
About $75-$100 will put together a basket of essential everyday items our families need to survive. Items like soap, toothbrushes, bug spray, basic cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, and shampoo give a poor family dignity.
Provide Gift Cards to a Teen
Imagine a teenage life without the ability to just go out for a quick fast food lunch with your friends or grab a special cup of the latest coffee… This is the reality that our teenage kids face each day.
Please help us to support our kids during the holiday season by donating a $5 gift card to McDonalds or Starbucks. We will include this gift card with our stockings so that our teens can enjoy the season and not be left out of a teenage tradition!
