4/14/2010 Plans in review submitted structural and Architectural wall at kitchen as well as raising Meter room to 7.0 Base Flood
4/5/2010 Plans in review after kitchen and meter room revisions
10/2/2009: New Tiki connections and attachments design, structural calculations, analysis in Progress..+- 3-4 weeks.
10/6/09: Pending meeting with Juan Garcia to resolve ( ADA, FIRE and Architectural) city comments from 10/5/09, JBC called Juan to meet.
10/6/2009 :Gary to drop truss shop drawings on Thursday 10/8/09, cost: $970.to Jungle Queen.
10/7/2009: Donna and Alex to advise CEC of invoice status from last weeks meeting.
10/8/09: meeting w/ Juan @ 5 PM, to revise kitchen roof and door per Glenn Osborne comments;
10/6/2009 CAD drawings for Tiki and Kitchen were transmitted to Allan Kozich, PE and Ed Kranz PE to prepare MEP and Fire Sprinkler design drawings .
10/8/2009,Meeting between Joseph and Juan, to resolve a conflict between Tiki and kitchen roof. Created an element inside tiki by raising the wall,
and having truss geometry resolved by bearing on tiki wood beams. Changed design section and roof plans. Also, changed design of door to 36inch and wall to 24 inches to comply w/ ADA code. Discussed and resolved comments as discussed with Glenn Osborne . Joe transmitted CAD drawings to Juan to change the architectural plans so they match with structural changes.
10/13/09, Alex to call and advise status of pending invoices per email 10/8. No answer.
10/15/2009 : Unsafe Structures Board Meeting @ 3:00 PM. wayne Strawn Retired from Code enforcement. Need to meet w/ Jerry & discuss business.
Board approved a (90) day time extension until January 23, 2010.
10/16/2009 Inspection report to new inspector : Gerry Smilen.
10/19/2009: Allan Kozich sent email,RE: CAD architectural plans for kitchen roof do not match floor plan. Juan Garcia revising drawings ( by WED. 10/21/2009)
Chaiban sent CAD files with corrections pending concurrence by Architect. 2 PM.
On January 25, 2011, the South Florida chapter of the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) presented the Board of Directors of PACE Center for Girls Broward with a check for $3,000, a donation from more than 130 South Florida tourism industry members who attended the annual hospitality awards gala and charity auction on October 20, 2010.

A highlight of the gala, held at Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty-Six Pier top, was the presentation of the 2010 Hospitality Legend of the Year Award to Jerry Faber, longtime president of Jungle Queen Riverboat Cruises and tourism pioneer.
The Hospitality Legend of the Year award is given for outstanding contributions to the local tourism/hospitality industry. Jerry Faber has been an active and enthusiastic tourism supporter over the years, holding leadership roles and board positions with the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau's Marketing Advisory Committee, Beach Council, Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce, Barnett Bank Board of Directors, and many other tourism-related boards and activities. Jerry has generously supported many charitable organizations and presently serves on the Advisory Council for PACE Center for Girls Broward. Jungle Queen Riverboat Cruises celebrates its 75th anniversary this year and continues to be a Fort Lauderdale tradition.
