By joining CFUW Moncton, you can realize the power of women working together through friendships, advocacy, social events and empowerment!
CFUW Moncton
Our club is one of over 90 across the country that make up the Canadian Federation of University Women (CFUW) which is affiliated with Graduate Women International (GWI).
CFUW Moncton members have enjoyed the friendship of a remarkable group of women here in the Greater Moncton area, since the first meeting in 1933. We get together for monthly meetings, open to the public, from September to May. Our guest speakers discuss a variety of topics which reflect the diversity of interests of our members.
We take an interest in social issues, particularly education, human rights, legislation, and the environment.
Why not get involved? We keep abreast of education issues, lend support to the local libraries, and work on advocacy issues. We have an active Out & About luncheon group. You could turn your love of books into fun at the Book Sale, support local women in their quest for education.
Enrich your life, make friends and share your skills and expertise.

CFUW
The Canadian Federation of University Women (CFUW), founded in 1919, is a voluntary, non-partisan, non-profit, self-funded, bilingual organization of about 6,000 women across Canada.
For more information please see the CFUW website at www.cfuw.org.
GWI
Founded in 1919, the International Federation of University Women has national affiliates around the world. The original purpose, to promote international friendship, understanding, and peace, remains with the added commitments of advocating for women's rights, equality and empowerment through access to quality secondary and tertiary education, and training up to the highest levels. In 2015 IFUW was renamed Graduate Women International (GWI).
It has a long history of making its voice heard at global forums beginning with work with the League of Nations in 1924. It was one of the first women's organizations to be granted consultative status to the Economic and Social Council of the UN.
In July 2019 women from around the world gathered in Geneva, Switzerland, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of GWI.
