The first CyTSE conference is happening in Berkeley, CA, March 9-10, 2011. In it, I'll be presenting two new WISE tools developed by the VISUAL team at Berkeley:
The WISE Idea Manager, which students use during extended investigations to collect evidence and build scientific explanations:
And the Flipbook Animator, for students to create animations of scientific processes:
In a third session, I'll demo an iPad app that I helped design with Red Brain, Inc. and the World of Viruses project, that embeds short serious games in an interactive, audio-comic about the influenza virus.
