This animation was created in 2003, while I was a Masters
student in Biomedical Communications at the University of
Toronto. It visualizes the entry of parasitic filarial worms into the
skin through a mosquito bite, and their journey into the body. The
intention of this animation was rather to be a creative and
technical exercise in a 3D programming environment I was just
learning, than it was to elucidate any details of lymphatic
filariasis. I used this first project to experiment with textures,
lighting, and camera animation.
