March 2020
Now that the first cases of Covid-19 have appeared in New Haven and local, state, and national measures are being implemented to reduce social interactions, we need to take appropriate measures at Center Court as well.
General Measures
Luis is now regularly cleaning elevator buttons, door handles, railings, and entry system buttons with Clorox wipes. We have Gym Wipes in the fitness room for use in cleaning the equipment. Please notify Luis if the dispenser is empty so that he can refill it promptly (sucuenito@gmail.com).
Based on the advice of health professionals, the following social distancing practices are strongly recommended:
Maintain six feet of distance from others in common areas.
One occupant at a time in the elevators (except for families or roommates).
No more than two people in the gym at a time (two areas being used to allow for six feet of separation).
No more than two people in the laundry room at a time. There can still be multiple machines running at once but accessing washers and dryers should be limited to two at a time.
If you are in a lower-risk group, reach out to your higher-risk neighbors and community members and ask them how you can help, whether by picking up prescriptions and groceries or offering other assistance. Respond to requests for assistance posted on the Center Court Facebook Group.
Special Circumstances
If you are diagnosed positive with Covid-19, are showing symptoms, or are under quarantine, please stay inside your apartment unless you absolutely must leave.
For food deliveries, use the front door access control system to buzz delivery people in by pressing 9 on your phone, and ask them to leave the food outside your door. Instructions for using this feature of the access control systems at the 122 and 116 doors are posted on the lobby bulletin board and on the Residents Web Site. If your name and phone number are not correctly listed in the system, contact Melissa at melissas@westfordmgt.com to have your data updated.
Ask a friend or neighbor to pick up packages from the lobby and leave them outside your door. If no one you know is available, post a request on the Center Court Facebook Group asking if there is someone in the building who can assist you.
Use the Facebook Group to ask for help, for instance in buying groceries at the Elm City Market.
Do not use the gym and avoid common areas as much as possible.
