Join Centennial Community Girl Scouts for Seasons Program Part 2 - Winter Challenge on Friday, January 24th from 6:30-8pm at the Centennial Library. (Check in will begin at 6:30, with programming starting promptly at 6:45.) At this event, you will connect with fellow Girl Scouts completing 6 activities from the Winter Seasons Program Challenge Board (see image below). To earn the patch for this portion of the program, scouts will need to complete different number of activities based on their grade level:
K-2 grade: 5 activities
3-5 grade: 10 activities
6-8 grade: 15 activities
9-12 grade: 20 activities
Scouts will rotate between a number of stations. The stations include writing a thank you card to a teacher, playing a game, learning how to tie knots, making a giant snowflake, and learning about cookie sales. Bonus: tell us a fun fact about a US President to check off another square on your board!
Once scouts have completed the minimum number of activities for their age level, they can fill out this form: Seasons Patch Request Form , and we will make sure to get them their patch segment. If you attend the event, we will hand you your segment at the event. We encourage you to complete more than what is required to earn the badge segment and share your pictures with us too! This form only needs to be filled out if you are not attending the event, but completed the activities independently or with your troop and would like a patch.
Complete the challenges for all the seasons and you will have earned all the segments for the seasons program. Each season will have a kick off event hosted by the Centennial Community. Miss a season? Not a problem! You still can complete the activities to earn the segment.
Scouts in K-2 will complete the number of activities needed to earn the badge at each event but are welcome and encouraged to do more!
Event Location:
Centennial Library
100 Civic Heights Circle
Circle Pines, MN 55014
All sections of this form must be completed. Each scout needs to be registered individually.
Instead of a registration fee, scouts are asked to bring one non-perishable food item to donate to the food shelf. Registration is due Monday January 20, 2025.
Each scout must attend with an adult from their life.
Can't make the event? No worries! You can complete the activities on your own or with your troop. Just let the Centennial Community Girl Scouts know via email when you finished the number of activities needed for your age level!
