Join Girl Scouts
Think of the Girl Scout program as your one-stop shop when it comes to building your child's social and emotional skills, sparking their curiosity and creativity, and giving them an extra bit of stability in this ever-changing world. Whether they are dreaming up a new toy, learning about bravery, or helping plant a garden, you can rest easy knowing your Girl Scout is safe, having fun, and becoming their best self.
Become a member for $35. Grades K-12 are welcome and invited to join. Financial assistance is available.
Is your child getting ready to enter kindergarten next year? Registration for those in pre-K (entering Kindergarten in fall 2024) is open NOW!
Ways to Join
Start a Troop
Create a brand new troop and invite all your friends! Parents, caring adults, and community members like you make a difference in the lives of children by guiding them through the Girl Scout experience. Team up with a friend or neighbor to start a Girl Scout troop, where you’ll encourage kids to be brave, have fun, and help their community—you’ll even make some friends of your own along the way. You’ll have a whole Girl Scout support team behind you, who will provide you with training, meeting plans, and a network of other Girl Scout volunteers to help you be the best troop leader you can be.
Find a Troop
Find a troop to join! Troops are groups of Girl Scouts and their families who come together for a full year of adventures, including trips, events, and special programs. At meetings—led by Girl Scout volunteers—Girl Scouts get to explore a wide range of activities including the outdoors, science, entrepreneurship, and life skills. Join or Start a Mentored Troop for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) Girl Scouts
Mentored Troops center the unique experiences of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) youth and encourage a sense of belonging and sisterhood in a culturally relevant environment. Troops are led by volunteer leaders, who care deeply about making a difference in the lives of girls and their communities. Both adult leaders and Girl Scouts are predominantly, but not exclusively, BIPOC. At no cost to families, Girl Scouts in Mentored Troops receive the following during their first year:
A paid Girl Scout membership fee for one year and placement into an ethnically diverse Girl Scout troop
A Girl Scout uniform kit and supplies
Troop funds to financially support your troop’s Girl Scout activities
Join and Participate Individually as a Juliette
Some may think of Girl Scouts as a troop-only activity, but Girl Scouts offers opportunities to participate without being in a troop. Individually registered Girl Scouts are referred to as “Juliettes,” after our founder Juliette Gordon Low. Girl Scout Juliettes can do everything girls in troops do, like attend virtual and in-person programs and camps, earn badges and awards, and even sell cookies! They take the lead in deciding what activities appeal to them and tailor their experience to suit their particular interests. They also choose how often they want to participate: regularly throughout the year, or occasionally, for special programs like camp or council events.
