The Gold, Silver, and Bronze Awards are the highest awards a Girl Scout can earn. Each award gives Girl Scouts the chance to make their communities and the world a better place.
Juniors

The Girl Scout Gold Award is open to Girl Scout Seniors (grades 9–10) and Ambassadors (grades 11–12), and is the most prestigious award in Girl Scouts. It asks them to draw upon all the skills they have learned through Girl Scouts including critical thinking, project management, financial planning, risk reduction, problem solving, time management, active leadership, teamwork and service.
This award is difficult to earn, taking at least 80 hours, but once you’ve earned it, your rate for success in life and your ability to reach any goal will soar. Colleges, employers, your peers, and your community will see that you have what it takes to get big things done!
The Girl Scout Silver Award is the highest honor a Girl Scout Cadette (grades 6-8) can achieve. It is a meaningful way to use the skills they learn as a Girl Scout including, critical thinking, project management, problem solving, active leadership, teamwork and volunteering. Earning the Girl Scout Silver Award involves the time to complete a Journey (step 1), and then a minimum of 50 hours to complete steps 2-10.
The Girl Scout Bronze Award is the highest honor a Girl Scout Junior (grades 4-5) can achieve. It is a way to use all the skills they learn including, problem solving, teamwork, and volunteering. Earning the Girl Scout Bronze Award involves the time to complete a Journey (step 1), and then a minimum of 20 hours to complete steps 2-7.
