TRYOUTS & THE SPRING SEASON

Spring is the official Centaurus High School season, sponsored by the school and open only to Centaurus players.

TRYOUTS

Held the last week of February, weather permitting. Game play typically begins in March and runs through mid-May.

HOW PLAYERS ARE SELECTED

Coaches decide which player goes on which team. Skill, ability and talent all play a role, as do sportsmanship, attitude, and teamwork. Team rosters are finalized by March 5.

THE SEASON

We run varsity, JV and C-team. Varsity plays 23 games; JV and C-team play 12–18 games. Practice runs Monday through Saturday. The school provides bus transportation to away games.

SPRING BREAK

Varsity travels to Arizona for three or four games; JV and C-team play locally. The trip costs approximately $550 per player. Financial assistance is available — see the head coach.

BEFORE YOU CAN PLAY

A physician physical is required. Registration and the BVSD spring participation fee are handled by the school, not the Home Run Club.

GEAR STORAGE

Ask a teacher coach about classroom storage options during the school day.
