INCOMING FRESHMEN & EIGHTH GRADERS

WHEN TO SHOW UP

Most freshmen start the day after they finish middle school. Come to the Centaurus varsity field the day after you graduate, or email us and we will point you the right way. Summer ball helps you make friends with your incoming class and meet upperclassmen.

A NOTE ON CONTACT RULES

CHSAA prohibits contact with incoming freshman athletes until the end of the middle school year. We cannot reach out first — but you and your family can reach out to us any time.

WHAT THE YEAR LOOKS LIKE

Summer — late May to end of July. Colorado American Legion ball. Optional but recommended, and how most freshmen start.

Fall — mid-August to end of October. The most relaxed baseball of the year. Optional.

Off-season — indoor training. Optional.

Spring — mid-February to May. The official school season, with tryouts the last week of February.

Play other sports. Our coaches encourage it.

WHAT IT COSTS

Summer Legion ball runs $750 to $850 per player. Fall ball runs $200 to $300. Off-season training runs $300 to $350 per month. The spring fee is set by BVSD and paid to the school. Fees are subject to change.

Financial assistance is available for summer, fall, off-season training and the spring break trip. It is confidential and there are no forms.
