This last year I worked with government to increase representation and democracy for the region. As Mayor I will work with Council to represent the Peterborough district to government and business, to increase services and implement projects for its vitality. I will strive to turnaround Peterborough’s long-term population decline. I support the Council’s direction to be more responsive to people, be pro-active, and abide by public-service codes of conduct. While an ambulance volunteer here I noticed a main cause of premature illness was self-harm— I will work to make it a place where more residents and visitors feel inspired, and have improved physical and emotional health. I will do things in the right order. The district can regain natural vitality, be inviting and profitable, more connected, and viable into the future.
