Babel X Boxes

An 'X Box' contains a random selection of 25 cards from the range of artist's cards so far printed, laid in a durable papier-mache book box (each individually decorated.) The cards are published in editions of 250 copies, signed on the reverse by the artist. Each 'X Box' also includes a signed  Imprint card which reprints a version of this text. The BABEL project will extend over 25 volumes of 25 artist's cards in a numbered sequence. The 'X Box' is a kind of 'sampler' or perhaps rather  a window into the project. Each 'X Box' will contain a different selection of cards and is thus a unique art work.
