Cape Youth Sailing
Program Information
Our program is designed to teach the fundamentals of sailing, whether you are a beginner or an experienced sailor. Sailing is a recreational as well as a competitive sport that can be enjoyed for a lifetime.
The purpose of the summer youth sailing program is to provide a safe instructional environment for an enjoyable summer of learning how to sail. At the end of the summer, each junior sailor will receive a certificate of completion and a lifetime of friends and memories.
All the YCCSC Youth Sailing Program instructors are at least 18 years of age and are US Sailing Level I Instructor Certified or actively pursuing US Sailing Level I certification.
All Instructors and assistants hold current First Aid/CPR cards. The staff employ 5 motorized boats for instruction and safety.
Classes are sailed in program-owned 420s (a 14’ sloop-rigged sailboat for 2-3 young sailors) or in Vanguard and Optimist prams, designed for one or two small youths.
