To make camp the best experience for your sailor, here is a checklist of what is needed:
9am - dropoff time (swim team can show up after practice)
4pm - pickup (please don't take your child until all the boats are put away, unless you really need to leave at 4)
LifeJacket (see the note below!)
Water (enough for the whole day in the hot sun)
Lunch (in a cooler)
Sunscreen
Water Shoes (sandals / crocs / slides for lunch time)
Hat and/or Sunglasses (cheap because they tend to get knocked into the river and sink)
Sweatshirt (cloudy, windy days can get cold)
Towel
And a bag to put it all in!
Please write your child's name or last name on all items. At the end of the summer we have large bins full of stuff, if we see a name we can make sure it gets back to you.
Lifejacket:
Each child must supply and wear his/her own US Coast Guard-approved Type III life jacket (PFD) while on or near the water. Please clearly mark the students name on the PFD and make sure the PFD is comfortable and the appropriate size. Please do not use the orange “horseshoe” PFDs. Click here to see visual examples. .
