General Information
1. To register to play with the group, go to the web site and print out a registration form, complete it, and send it to the Treasurer along with your registration fee. Web site is https://google.sites.com/site/bv5wga. You can also access our web site by going through the POA website https://bellavistapoa.com/thingstodo/golf/group-play/ and scroll down to Women’s 5+4 Hole. Click on the link to the Women’s 5+4 Hole Golf website or the Application link.
2. The Women’s 5+4 Hole Golf website https://google.sites.com/site/bv5wga contains information that you should become familiar with: Rules of Golf, additional rules, game schedule and other information about our group.
3. To sign up to play on a given Monday, either sign up at the golf course for upcoming weeks or notify the Pairings person prior to the Wednesday before you want to play on the following Monday. Email Mary Schmid at maryschmid53@gmail.com or text her at 405-226-1134.
4. Check the pairings on the POA web site to see what time you are scheduled to tee off and who you will be playing with. https://bellavistapoa.com/thingstodo/golf/group-play/ and scroll down to Women’s 5+4 Hole and click on Pairings.
5. Arrive at the golf course at least 30 minutes prior to your tee time. Check in and follow the Pro Shop guidelines for getting a cart or other protocols. If you walk, you still need to check in, but there is no additional fee to play at Brittany. If you ride in a cart, it will cost you $5 or whatever the golf regulations are.
6. If you have signed up to play and something causes you to cancel prior to Monday, email Mary Schmid (maryschmid53@gmail.com) to let her know you need to cancel.
7. If you have signed up and can’t play the day of golf, call Metfield Pro Shop as soon as possible and let them know you won’t be coming. Metfield Pro Shop phone number is 479-855-8160. You should also call Metfield Pro Shop if you want to know if we are playing due to weather conditions.
8. Each player can choose to either drive from the red tees or the gold tees.
9. Each team can decide if they want to change to a scramble for the last 4 holes since we don't score those holes.
10. The winners each week receive a $2 certificate to be spent at any Pro Shop. They can be accumulated and held for up to 18 months. The certificates are good for purchasing any merchandise, including food. A person can receive a maximum of 2 certificates each month. One is awarded for the winner of the week's game and the same person can be awarded one if they are part of the winning team scramble. This allows everyone to have a chance to win. We also have one discretionary winner every non-scramble week. This might be high score, low putts, or any other criteria.
