Constitution and By-Laws

Article 1: This organization shall be called the Bella Vista Women’s 5+4 Hole Golf Association.

Article 2: The object of the association shall be to foster friendship and better golf.

Article 3: Requirement for entry into the 5+4 Hole group is completion of the clinic, private lessons or having played with others.

Article 4: The annual dues shall be set by the Board of Directors. A member who withdraws within the first month of membership may receive a refund of one-half of her dues. No refund will be granted after the first month.

Article 5: The officers of the Association shall include the President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer,

The Board of Directors shall include the officers and the outgoing President, Chairpersons of the Pairings, Scoring and Social Committees, the Rules Chairperson, the Publicity Chairperson and any additional persons deemed necessary.

Article 6: Duties of Officers:

President: Shall preside at all meetings of the Association and of the Board of Directors.

Vice President: Shall assume all duties of the President in the President’s absence.

Secretary: Shall keep minutes of the proceedings of all business meetings and shall attend to all correspondence of the Association.

Treasurer: Shall keep all monies of the Association, with a complete record of income and expense, subject to audit.

Article 7: Elections will be held in even-numbered years. The President shall appoint a nominating committee who shall present a slate of officers to be voted upon at the Association’s final business meeting of the even-numbered year.

Article 8: Pairings for the following week will be posted at Metfield Pro Shop, and on the POA website. You may check for your captain, time and day of play following the posting.

Article 9: You may sign up at Metfield by 10 A.M. on Monday for play the following week.

Article 10: This constitution may be amended by a majority vote of the members present at a regular business meeting of the Association.
