BUTTS FARM POCKET PARK

The Pocket Park is a space for all residents to support and help make into a really nice space - we welcome anyone who would like to do regular clear ups. We discourage dumping, as not only is it illegal it makes the space unsightly and unhygienic for everyone, including dog faeces, also broken items present a hazard to children and dogs.

We will be organising a clean up this year either through Hounslow Council or funded by WTG - please contact us if you would like to help out. Date/Time TBC

For the kids Easter Hols activity - please put April 2nd and 3rd, 2016 in your diary for them to come and do some willow making with Willow Pool - making items from willow and a den in the pocket park.

During this year a table will be put on the park decorated with tiles made by residents over the last year at the estate events last year, the annual event and a workshop held in the pocket park, Over 55's/Evergreens and with the Churches. If you missed out on making a tile but would like to make your own please get in touch and we will try and get you on one of the last couple of workshops if we can.

During this year Tim, a horticulturist, will be working with residents to get the area more balanced and bring more context - but this also needs you all to participate it cannot be achieved without residents support and care - most of the input and hard work to get the space as far as it is is from residents living on Beach Grove - it is really appreciated the hours they spent on the park and their collaboration, cooperation and they were very positive and communicative but they only had so much time and resources that's why it needs everyone to be supportive and give some time to balance the space out - that the more people that use practical time getting involved rather than virtual time the park can really become a space everyone feels that they have helped create and be part of.

The final memorial trees have been planted - if you would like one commemorated to a lost loved one please get in touch - this will be on a first come first served basis - there are approximately 12-15 trees available.

Our thanks to everyone so far for all that you have done and the park is about 50-60% complete.....life and parks are a work in progress we thank you for your patience
