Hi Folks,
Welcome to BusaBob's Racing website. This site was launched on November 3, 2012 and features my blog on the chronicles of my Hayabusa 220+whp engine build, as well as my Land Speed Racing (LSR) and drag racing experiences.
Just some quick background info: I am a lifelong motorcycle rider and took up Land Speed Racing (LSR) in 2012, when I ran my mostly stock 2005 Hayabusa at the Mojave Mile and posted a top speed of 171.9 mph in the mile. After that, I became hooked on LSR and began contemplating my next steps.
In early 2013, I completed a 220 whp engine rebuild on this bike and ran it again at the Mojave Magnum, October 2013, where I reached my goal of 200 mph and joined the elite "200 mph club". In converting the Hayabusa from what was already fast machine, into what is now a racebike that can still be driven on the street, I have proven to myself that I can build, tune, and race one of the fastest machines on the planet.
For the future, my goals are simple; go fast and enjoy life. I plan to continue with my LSR ambitions and perhaps do some drag-racing. I'm sure there will be more modifications on the bike to make it go faster.
On this site, I hope to provide some useful information related to Hayabusa Performance, Land Speed Racing, and other general motorcycle related information. My main goal here is to share my personal Hayabusa knowledge and experiences with you. Please check out my Blog and other pages on this site for more information and regular updates.
If you would like to be an active sponsor and have your company name/logo on the BusaBob's Racing 220hp Hayabusa, please go to my Contact link. I am also interested in trying out and reviewing motorcycle related products or services.
Stay tuned, and I hope you enjoy my site.
