Another trip over too quickly, it seemed like we arrived and left in one day but in reality it was 2 days and 2 half days and a lot of driving before and after but it was worth it to get together with a great group of people and enjoy some drinks, food, good conversation, and a little golf thrown in just to help us recover from the day and evenings frivolities.
The weather was good, as it usually is up on the border except for a little drizzle early on Friday, the pokies were like the old style money boxes, you'd put coin in and then needed a safe cracker to get anything out, suffice to say we didn't have one on hand, so most of us (if not all) left empty handed, the punt didn't go much better with everyone chipping in we took on the Melbourne Quaddie and were out after some camel won in the first race.
Stupid shit that happened!
Broady was found chatting to a guy in a golf cart (not someone from our group) after one round and enquired what are we doing for dinner tonight not sure what the guy said but Suzy saved him and draged him away, not the most original pick up line, which is probably why Broady joined us for dinner instead.
Col Barrow did............................................................ well yes he did.
Pup didn't eat breakfast, preferring to stay in bed until someone gave him the 5 minute to tee off call.
I played some good golf for a change.
Sad shit that happened!
Col Bennett retired from golf, hopefully to go in search of his MOJO and be back playing sooner rather than later, we don't want to loose the little man!
Paul & Jimmy weren't there
Finally many thanks to Broady for another superbly planned trip everything went like clockwork
See you all at Woodend where carts may be the order of the day.
PS if you have any pics from Toc send them through to me at kelandh@bigpond.com

Well another golf trip is in the history books and I will do my best to remember events of said trip.
It started at 7.45 when Pingy arrived for the drive to Tocumwal. Knowing traffic would be heavy we decided to leave early unlike Col and the fat brothers Con and Pup. Don't know what time the other fat brothers Shrek and Connal left but we took 30mins just to get to the ring road while pup was stuck on point cook road just to get to Cols place.
The drinking started as we got to shep and pretty much continued til Saturday night. We were greeted by Eugy, little Col and Broady, who were so keen decided to go upon the Wednesday night. That in hindsight was probably a mistake as Broady managed to get the naga and poor Col has just lost the plot altogether. He just needs to play Macca golf and just hit the fucken thing.
Pup and I managed to draw groups for the cash round on the Thursday and Kelping managed to win the coin from Buckets. That night groups were drawn and the drinking w as well underway. The major change at the course since our last trip was a new rec room tacked on the end of the rooms we were in. Huge t.v, fridge and BBQ and pool table was a perfect set up for us. Kel and I managed to stay undefeated for the night as the drinks continued well into Friday.
A few sore heads headed for breaky on Friday as we started our day. I played with Pup and Eugyboy and Pup and I managed to keep ourselves in contention while Eugy couldn't put 2 good shots together but still managed a 78 nett. Kel, Shrek and big Col were also in the mix and thanks to Buckets and his poor math skills Macca was in the mix as well. What is 109 minus 27 ya fuckwit. It's certainly not 72!. It cost big Col a place in the last group.
Friday night was again spent in the pool room after Kel had managed to win not 1 but 2 meat packs in the club raffle. We did get a visit from a very complex character in the form of big Col. With the boys wondering where he was it was assumed he over did it the night before and was having an early night. He was having an early night but he was preparing for one of the truly great moments of any golf trip. Having spent time waxing and giving himself a rub down with baby oil he burst into the room wearing only jocks and a studded gimp mask. Brandishing an 8 inch soap cock he managed to give me a taste of it and a few others got a feel of it as well. It took ages for the laughter to die down. It's the first trip I can remember that his mrs hasn't joined us and I think he was missing her.
Saturday was money day and some rose to the occasion and others just couldn't get it going. Wether by design or just our frustration at not getting into a rhythm we decided Pup was fucking us around by playing like an old mole an slowing us up. Turns out he was on a bit of a tear himself as he managed a 65 nett to get the win. He took Kel with him as he managed 2nd and Jaffas played nice and consistent over both days to jag third. Sadly Pup and Jaffas had not played enough games to qualify and Kel will join illustrious company with his name on the shield.
After the round Suzi and Kel managed to serve up a magnificent feed and not a crumb was left. That night was rather quiet compared to the otherb2 as a lack of sleep started to catch up with most of us and big Col could only manage 1 meal. Watching him eat 2 meals a night was funny enough, but watching Broady trying to poor a beer from a premiership cup shaped jug was hilarious. I swear he spilt more than he drank.
As Kel said we pooled $700 together and took a quaddy on the races. Fuck me out in the first leg we went and the hopes of an afternoon watching our money come in was over before it started. The pokies were not much better to us as I don't think anyone had much luck on them either. Luckily Kel thought ahead an made sure he bought plenty of smokes this time so he wouldn't be disappointed by the smoke machine again. The Sunday round was a close one and Pup and Broady managed to get the win. Lucky for Pup I failed to adjust his handicap for the day. I will seek compensation at a later date.
All in all it was another great trip and again hats off to Broady for organising another great trip. The next trip will be to Howlong, but speaking to a few of the boys afterwards we would be happy to go back to Tocumwal every year. 2 great courses great facilities and nice and cheap you can't go wrong.
The next round is at Woodend where Little Col got the win from Buckets and Kel. Macca will try to avoid the naga this time. Hope to see you all there.
