Saturday, October 5th, 2019 Race at 8:30 a.m. , Warm Up 8:00 a.m.
Rock your run at the 2019 BRE Rock Slide! This annual spirit-filled student and family 5K and 1K walk/run will start at 8:30 am near the front of the school. Warm up and same-day registration will begin at 8:00 a.m.
Register Early! Before 3:30pm, Friday October 4th
The cost to participate in the Rock Slide is just $8 per person $10 at the door and includes a pancake breakfast.

***Cut off date and time to pre-register wristbands for the Rock Slide is Friday, October 4th at 3:30pm.
Waivers can be signed at the registration table at the day of the event.
Rock Slide Fun Run, Pancake Breakfast & Book Fair
Don’t forget the Book Fair will be open in the Library during this event. Enjoy breakfast then take a peek in the library to see what the Book Fair has to offer!
Volunteer
Our Rock Slide is all volunteer run. We will need parents, high school students (get credit for volunteer hours), grandparents, etc to help make this Race Safe and Fun for everyone. We are in special need of course marshals, set up crew, registration table & clean-up crew,

Rock Slide 1K
Children are encouraged to run together and Parents are not required to run with their children. Younger children are encouraged to run/walk the 1k Fun Run and older children are encouraged to try the 5k. All parents not running will be needed at the finish line to cheer and make some noise for the finishers!
Rock Slide 5K
The 5K course starts and finishes at BRE and runs throughout the neighborhoods surrounding our school with police and volunteers monitoring the course. We expect all participants to be respectful of the people who live there. Strollers and friendly leashed dogs are welcome!
No bikes, skateboards or rollerblades. The Rock Slide takes place rain, snow or shine! You are NOT required to participate in the Rock Slide training in order to run on Super Saturday. This is a fun run that everyone at BRE can join in!
Show Your School Spirit!
Prizes will be awarded per grades K-5 to students who show the best school spirit! Show your spirit and school pride by wearing your BRE school colors- BLUE & GREEN and get creative with your hair, hats, ribbons or costume!
Every participant to cross the finish line will receive a medal! We will award the top 3 BRE student male and female finishers in both the 5K and 1K Fun Run races!
Pancake Breakfast
Post-Race Pancake Breakfast and Book Fair Flippin’ Flapjacks will be whipping up yummy pancakes hot off the grill! Sausage, fruit, coffee and juice included as well as gluten-free pancakes, just ask the cook! Not running the race, but want to cheer on the racers and enjoy the breakfast? No problem, pre-sale for just the breakfast is $8 per person ($10 at door).
Gluten free pancakes will be available (cooked on the same griddle.)
