Troop 9 Eagles

Troop 9 takes pride in the large number of our scouts that reach the rank of Eagle. To date, 104 Troop 9 scouts have achieved the Eagle Rank, becoming valuable global citizens with leadership skills, principles, and commitment to community. 

NOTE TO LIFE SCOUTS

The BSA guidelines for an Eagle project are fairly involved and quite specific. A candidate must develop a Project Proposal to be submitted to Council for approval and it must meet their standards. If you have any ideas, or hear of anyone with an idea for a possible project, please let us know. However, before passing the idea on to a scout, be sure to discuss it first with Assistant Scoutmaster Kristy Head, the Troop's Life-to-Eagle Coordinator, to find out if it has the potential to meet the BSA requirements.

Eagle Rank Requirements

Eagle Palms are bronze, gold and silver awards presented to scouts who earn five, 10, 15 or more merit badges beyond the 21 required to become an Eagle Scout. After successfully completing an Eagle Scout board of review and being validated as an Eagle Scout by the National Service Center, an Eagle Scout will be entitled to receive an Eagle Palm for each additional five merit badges completed before their Eagle Scout board of review. After becoming an Eagle Scout, a scout may earn additional Palms.
