Knowledge gained from this certificate was an overview on the HIPAA Privacy and Security Rule which also included the new August 2013 Omnibus Rule. I received this certificate on November 30, 2016 and expires on November 30, 2019.

Network Operations Center Technician
In August 2015, I moved to the Network Operations Center while still having a temporary employment status. I provided level one support on routers, switches, and wireless controllers and access points for Walmart stores, Sams Clubs, distribution centers, and the home office. This position helped gain a better understanding of networking concepts and the basics of Walmart's network infrastructure.

During this time frame, I was employed as a temporary employee for Walmart’s Retail Link Help Desk team. This role is provided front line support for vendors/suppliers to the Retail Link application. I payed close attention to detail while working incident tickets via email, phone and chat per policies and escalation procedures. Computer based learning modules and any other training required by my supervisor were completed when assigned as necessary.

I was responsible for creating customized documentation to ISO standardizations on how to use Exact Synergy geared towards the company’s needs. I effectively trained management on Exact Synergy with the self-written documentation. I took initiative and reduced power outage downtime by implementing and managing a network managed UPS. The other technician and I teamed up to install and troubleshoot any initial issues with this new UPS.
