I have known John-Peter (JP) Bradford since 2000 when I was first interviewing for a position at MetroPhotonics. In the 10 years since then he has been my boss at MetroPhotonics, later my partner at a boutique investment bank, and after that simply a great advisor.
While working for JP at MetroPhotonics, I saw him make a number of very tough business decisions. He made these decisions without flinching and in each case with the best interests of the company, its investors, and its employees as his foremost decision criteria. He has an intuitive sense for business forged through many years of experience.
I have always admired JP’s no-nonsense approach to business. He asks hard questions and expects straight answers. He never fails to gives straight talk. With JP, you know where he stands on the issues and why. He has a knack for picking good people and getting the best from them. There are many aspects of JP’s management style and approach to business that I have tried to emulate as I’ve continued my career. I have taken many a page from his book.
Whether at the helm of the company I work for or at the helm of a company I hold shares in, he would have my total confidence.
