For the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation, Anne was a Certified Cancer Coach and advisor. She worked with cancer survivors and caregivers individually and in groups; advised management on operations and future directions; designed and piloted course "Work and Cancer Survivorship".
For the House of Commons, Parliament of Canada, Anne was one of two principal consultants to the Clerk (Deputy Minister) and Sergeant-at-Arms (Deputy Minister) in a four year restructuring that streamlined management and enhanced customer service. The assignment included developing and implementing the restructuring strategy, coaching management at all levels from the Clerk and Sergeant-at-Arms to their direct reports -- some of whom were new to their roles -- and others. She also mediated conflicts.
For the Supreme Court of Canada, Anne was one of two principal consultants in an historic organizational restructuring. She provided advice and services similar to that in the House of Commons assignment to the Registrar (Deputy Minister equivalent), head of Corporate Services and Finance (Assistant Deputy Minister equivalent) and their direct reports.
For the Canadian Commercial Corporation, Anne coached the newly appointed President (Deputy equivalent) and a number of his direct reports. The assignment involved leadership development, streamlining and enhancing customer service.
As executive coach to a large, private sector defense contractor Anne was able to help senior management and technical staff manage the complex relationships required to deliver projects on time; and to make an immediate difference in a secure and time sensitive environment.
In 2004, the National Library and National Archives merged. Anne coached the senior managers of the newly combined organization to become an integrated team.
For the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada, Anne coached the Chair (Deputy equivalent), Deputy-Chair (Associate Deputy Minister equivalent) and other senior managers to as they developed and put in place strategies to enhance customer service, reduce backlogs and heal the rift between public service employees and political appointees. She also helped select and coached an internal “renewal unit” tasked with implementing changes.
For the World Wildlife Fund, Global Arctic Program, assignment with the Director (ADM equivalent) and his team, includes group facilitation and coaching.
As an HR/recruitment/coaching consultant for MetroPhotonics Inc., Anne coached senior VPs, all of whom were new to their roles. She also engaged / managed recruitment firms to fill other key positions in the company; managed the development and implementation of a comprehensive compensation system for the company; and coached technical employees to become better managers.
For the Deputy Commissioner of the RCMP, Anne worked as principal consultant on a number of outsourcing assignments. As a result, food services were outsourced and others (e.g., transportation; clothing and kit; and real property) were retained and made more efficient.
For a number of other federal government clients, Anne served as a consultant, developing strategic plans and facilitating multi-stakeholder sessions to move initiatives ahead.
As senior advisor to a small technology firm, Anne was instrumental in turning the company around, developing a new business model, entering into critical strategic partnerships, winning significant business and facilitating an acquisition of the company.
