Submitting Pics or Information

To be 100% honest, I hardly add anything to the site that people ask me to, unless it fills a gap on a page I've already created. Ex: You have a pic of a specific Tom Henry SS I am missing. Please understand... I can't justify spending hours and hours of time working on a new page for every car I get emailed. If your photos or information are about a car from Jon Moss's toy box or something else EXTREMELY significant, that changes things. However, joining my Facebook group and posting your pics and info is a great alternative. It puts the burden of organizing the info and writing the text on you.

If there is a car you think I would be truly interested in featuring on the web site, here are some guidelines of what pictures I would want:

General Specifications:

Size: Ideally I would like photos at least 1600 pixels wide when possible.

Focus: I will not use blurry pictures unless I can't avoid it.

Time of Day: Please do not send me pictures of a car taken at night unless it's insanely rare and you spotted it at night. I would only like to use daytime photos.

For Photos You Found on the Internet: Send me a link to where you found them, or ask me if I'd like you to send me pictures before wasting your time sending pictures I may already have found myself.

For Photos Taken by You: Tell me your first and last name so that I may credit you for the photos.

Aftermarket equipment: I try my best to only use images of factory original cars whenever possible. I don't care about tires, but I do care about wheels and other things that majorly impact the appearance. I will typically refuse to use images of owner-modified cars on this website UNLESS the car fills in a gap. Ex: you have a photo of Tom Henry SS #30 (or something) and that is THE 1 of 1 car.

Framing: The shots of the exterior can't cut off the nose or rear of the car. I will not use photos that cut portions of the car off. Example: The perfect 3/4 front shot would look something like this:

One-Off Camaros, Prototypes, Concepts, Show Cars:

For cars like these, I want a lot of pictures. If you know the history, specs, info, etc. about what you are sending me, please provide that to me. DO NOT tell me something unless you know it for a fact. Do not tell me it is "1 of 12" if you don't know that for a fact. It's very important how you word it. If you *think* it is one of 12, say "I think it is 1 of about 12 cars" and why you think so.

If you own a Famous Camaro Show Car, I am VERY selective in what I consider worthy of being in that section. Very high dollar unusual cars are what I am looking for. I am not looking for cars that were created with mail order bolt on parts and are your everyday car. I am not looking for cars that were created simply by ordering parts online. Although your car might be cool, unless it required a body shop and/or upholstery shop to create it, it likely will not make the cut. The Show Car section is an appearance only section at this time (though it does catch some other pages I don't know where to put yet). Your 100% stock looking '00 Camaro with a 454 cu inch engine will not qualify. They have to be revolutionary like the '99 GTZ. If you think your car is worthy of being in that section, go ahead and send pictures and information, but submission does not guarantee being added to the site.

Special Aftermarket/Production SHOWCASE/FEATURE cars:

You'll know you have one of these if I ask you to be the showcase or feature car; if you think you have a car worthy of such, let me know! But what do I mean when I say showcase car or feature car?

The showcase or feature car on my website is...

• the car that is used to show all of the parts and pieces that are specific to this aftermarket or production vehicle and set it apart from other Camaros

• the single _______ Camaro that has more than just a few pictures on a page

• the example of what a 100% original ________ Camaro looks like; meaning NO modifications other than those done by GM or the aftermarket Camaro tuner/coachbuilder/modifier (this includes wheels, headlamps, taillamps, etc.)

• the car that has no body damage and is generally very low mileage

These cars are very important to this website, as they are what I am saying is a true ______ Camaro. They are the one people will look at in 10 years to decide what is stock and not stock on their Camaro. Vance Chula's SLP RS was the feature/showcase car for the SLP RS, as you can see here. His car is absolutely the same as the day he bought it, therefore it is the "go by" as far as what an SLP RS is supposed to look like.

In order for your car to be given this honor, your pictures you send me must be very good and your car must be very clean inside and out. Bad photography (blurry, low resolution, noisy (AKA grainy splotches all over the photo), night photography, cutting the front or rear end off in a shot, etc.) will not be acceptable. Bottles of water, garage door openers, sunglasses, windshield shades, etc. should ideally be removed from the interior of the car.

Regular Production Camaros:

Some of the things I currently need pictures of are...

1) RPO code labels (in the glove box for some years, on the door for other years). I need these because my RPO code list is incomplete. Please only send me a picture of this if it is YOUR car, so if I have a question about a code, you can help me figure out what it is. You MUST tell me the year of the car, the color, what color interior plastic the car came with, what material the seats are, and what color the seats are. I may know how to decode a VIN # and decode the RPO codes, but it's annoying to have to do so to get the basic information an owner can provide me. It's helpful when you also have your window sticker.

2) F-1 package Camaros

3) a picture of the GM factory engine block heater (rare/uncommon option)

4) pictures of the rear end gears that were optional (must not be currently installed)

5) Cars in color combinations not shown on pages about those cars: Ex: SLP RSes. These cars do not require the stock wheels to be used on the site. They cannot have ground effects though, as this confuses the entire issue.
