Below is my list of publications with links to those I have the rights to share or are shared by the current owners. It also includes conference presentations near the bottom.
I Know SPC - This is an SPC (Statistical Process Control) training manual written at a 6th grade reading level. It was specifically written for use in training people who spoke English as a second language (ESL) The graphics in it are text based, but the knowledge should still be relevant.
Syllabus for I know SPC.

Lighthouse Dictionary - A listing of lean and Six Sigma Terms.
This is a Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma Terms dictionary that was originally put together for a group called the Lighthouse Group. It was started by 50 Lean Manufacturing students after a Shingajutsu conference in Japan in 2006. The dictionary was a free give-a-way for members of the group. The group disbanded with the starting of the Lean Enterprise institute, as most members jumped to supporting it.
This was an article written and published through the Lean Enterprise Institute back in their first year of existence. The article has fallen off of their website and is available here.
Helping The Learning Disabled Participate in Quality Programs.
This is an article that was published in American Society for Quality (ASQ) Quality Progress Magazine in March 1997 issue. It is also available on the ASQ Website.
This article was written, submitted and Rejected for the 50th Quality Congress. So, I make it available here. It covers some interesting results from the National Adult Literacy Survey where it was discovered that more people understand statements of simple Percentages than understand graphs with the same information. This flies in the face of what many Quality professionals believe about "Always graph your data". We probably should not be using as many graphs.
Mom, is Daddy safe from the wolf? - This was a safety article that I wrote for the company newsletter back in 1998. It has gotten good feedback over the years.
Applied Principles - This is a book that I wrote on moral beliefs, principles, and values some years ago. Several attempts at publication got no offers, so I moved on to other projects. The book covers a number of techniques for helping a person figure out what they believe in and how to review that validity of those values.
The Street Gang Cipher Handbook - This book covers the 15 to 20 most common ciphers used by Street gangs in the US, letter frequencies for over 180 languages, along with other supporting statistics to assist people in cracking common street ciphers. The book also contains some common historical ciphers that get used by people.
Detecting Numerical Based Cultural Superstition In Technical Support Data Using Digital Analysis - White paper produced for ARRIS as an employee, released for public distribution. Benford’s distribution has been used for detecting financial, election and scientific fraud in numerical data. In this application it is used to detect falsification of numerical data, not motivated by fraud, but by cultural superstition against certain numbers. The falsification of population data can adversely impact process corrective actions in the company call center and therefore service quality to customers. Data mining following the SEMMA model revealed these results during a data fraud investigation. The paper shows how telecommunication case data is biased for or against certain numbers by different cultures around the world and how analysis techniques based on the Benford distribution can detect these results. Discovery of this cultural bias allowed us to compensate for it in future analysis of this data to avoid biased results. [ The Economist published an article about a similar study done on bias in financial trading that is here. Black Cat Markets. ]
