Activities

The purpose of this section is to assess the changes done by the Bourbon dynasty in order to make reforms according to new ideology. Hence, the activities to develop are:

• 1. Contrast the legal norms of the monarchy at the Ancient Regime, following the Novissima Recopilation and Partidas.

  2. Judge the behavior of the different monarchs during 18 and 19^th centuries according to the critical historiography of this period.

  3. Try to compare the forms of government control and power in Spain and in the territories of America under Spanish sovereignty.

  4. Evaluate the process of how took place the institutional transformation at the Ancient Regime in Spain and South America (e.g. privileges).
