Welcome to the Boubli Lab at the University of Salford. The research scope of our lab includes ecology, evolution and biodiversity conservation of South American primates. Our focus is on Amazonian primate evolution, diversification, taxonomy and conservation.

We apply phylogeographic methods to address historical biogeographic questions. We combine field biology, taxonomy, phylogenetics, genomics, and conservation to reconstruct the evolutionary history of Amazonian primate fauna. We are also using Species Distribution Modelling, including future predictive environmental modelling, to more accurately determine primate distributions, habitat requirements, and predict future losses of habitat due to forest conversion and global climate change.
