Lorenzo Bonoldi was born in 1977 in Bozzolo. (Lombardy region, Italy)

After brilliant studies at the Milan Conservatory, in 1998 he graduated in the class of Giancarlo Parodi in Organ and organ composition with 10/10 cum laude. In the same year he graduated also, under Edoardo Filus and Hans Fazzari, in piano. Winner of a scholarship S.I.A.E. (italian society for authors and editors) for the best students of the Italian Conservatories, he has won several prizes and awards in national and international competitions.

He has attended various masterclasses, studying with Daniel Roth, Lorenzo Ghielmi, Giancarlo Parodi and Klemens Schnorr and he also studied with interest organ improvisation and composition. (in the class of Giuseppe Colardo) After the courses of organ improvisation with Stefano Rattini and Fausto Caporali, he continued his studies of harmony and improvisation with Pierre Pincemaille in Paris.

In 2003 he won the 2nd prize with the composition for organ "Fusion Fantasy" in the II National Competition of organ composition "Rocco Rodio" Castellana Grotte (Bari). The same piece was performed for the first time in 2005 at the end of his Recital at the organ of the Cathedral of Cremona. In addition to numerous concerts as a soloist and in collaboration with various instrumental and vocal groups, has been invited as a jury member in organ competitions and has recorded for Edizioni Cappella Sistina 2 CDs with organ music of the Cardinal Domenico Bartolucci (former Director of the Choir of the Sistine Chapel in Rome) by invitation and directions by the same author, at the organ of the Basilica of St. Maria Maggiore and the Pontifical Institute of Sacred Music in Rome.

In 2005 he won the international competition for the place of "Organist with the obligation of all keyboard instruments" at the Orchestra of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, and since 2008 is officially the titular organist of the theatre. With the Orchestra of La Scala he had the opportunity to play, also as organ soloist, in radio and TV programs, in Italy, Europe, Russia, Middle East, China, USA and Canada, with the most prestigious conductors on the international scene, including which D. Barenboim, Z. Mehta, R. Chailly, D. Gatti, C. Abbado, V. Gergiev, A. Pappano, J. E. Gardiner, C. Hogwood, L. Maazel, G. Pretre. As a soloist he has performed organ among other things, under the direction of Zubin Mehta, the Symphony No.3 "avec orgue" by Saint-Saens in live radio RAI program, and the Concerto for Organ, Strings and Timpani by Poulenc, under the direction of Marcello Rota, in a series of 7 Ballets.

Enthusiast of romantic\symphonic and modern organ building, he is particularly interested in this repertoire, working also to raise interest on restorations of organs of this type ("Rotelli 1934" Martignana Po and "Vegezzi-Carlo Bossi 1901" Blind Institute of Milan). He also held a conference\lecture at the School of Organ Building in Crema, on "Cavaillé-Coll, its history and its innovations".

From the age of 11 he regularly plays liturgical service in various Churches, including: organist and choir director of the Sanctuary "Madonna della Fontana" Casalmaggiore (CR), assistant organist at the Cathedral in Milan and organist in residence of the great organ "Bonato 2013" of S. Anastasia church in Villasanta (Monza). He is currently organist in the Basilica of San Carlo al Corso, Milan.
