To all HOA Members and Bohicket Landing Residents:
With Hurricane Dorian projected to be in our area later this week, the Board of Directors (BoD) encourages all members and residents to finish your storm preparations and the securing of your property where possible.
Since we likely see at least some damage, the BoD is extending the deadline for compliance issues for the time being. If you’ve already requested an extension and need additional time after the storm to make further repairs, please do not hesitate to contact a Board member.
There are many new members in the community who may not have experienced the rough weather associated with hurricanes, so we encourage you to seek out your neighbors who have endured many of these storms and they can offer you some advice on preparing for the storm.
We’ll continue to use the HOA website (www.bohicketlanding.com) for official HOA business, but the Bohicket Landing Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/groups/229423900443355/) is also a good source of information and I encourage everyone to read or post any information there that might be helpful in storm preparation/recovery efforts. If you don’t do social media like me, then the Onslow County Citizens Phone Bank (910-989-5027) is also another good local resource for information.
You may also find additional storm prep and recovery tips on the following county or state agency websites;
Onslow County Emergency Management Services (http://www.onslowcountync.gov/581/Emergency-Management)
ReadyNC (https://readync.org/EN/index.html)
North Carolina Dept. of Public Safety (https://www.ncdps.gov/dorian2019)
North Carolina Dept. of Transportation Evacuation Routes (https://www.ncdot.gov/travel-maps/maps/Pages/evacuation-routes.aspx)
Thanks for your time and if you have any suggestions or need any assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact another HOA member or a director.
For the Board of Directors,
Mark Little
