The Bohicket Landing Home Owners Association (HOA) will be holding elections for two vacating positions on the Board of Directors (BoD) at the next HOA Members Annual Meeting.

An email was forwarded to all HOA members announcing the vacating positions and requesting nominations to be placed on the ballot for any member who would like the opportunity to serve on the BoD. Any member who would like to placed on the ballot for the upcoming election should respond to the email or contact the current President of the BoD.

As per the HOA By-Laws, nominations for directors may be made by the BoD and may be made from the floor by any member at the meeting at which the election is held for the BoD. The nominee must either be present at said meeting and consent to the nomination or have indicated, in writing, his or her willingness to serve as a director.

Para 4.2.(c) of the HOA By-Laws outlines the qualifications and eligibility requirements to serve as a director. These requirements include;

1. That the nominee be an Owner of property within the association or if a Corporation owns the property that the nominee be appointed by the Corporation to run as a nominee.

2. No nominee can serve as a director if he/she is more than 60 days delinquent in in any financial obligation (to include annual dues) owed to the HOA.

3. No nominee can serve as a director if he/she is in violation of any provision of the HOA covenants and/or other governing documents.
