The Bohicket Landing HOA does not publish minutes from “Board of Director" meetings on the HOA website. Those minutes may contain personally sensitive information, such as late fees assessed, action taken to fine or restrict a member, and other such information.
The minutes from the annual, semi-annual, and or special “Membership Meeting” are posted on the HOA website. As per North Carolina General Statue 55A, these records must be maintained for a minimum of three years.
As per the association’s By-Laws and North Carolina General Statues 47F and 55A, a HOA member in good standing is entitled to inspect and copy, at a reasonable time and location specified by the Board of Directors, any record of the association, including but not limited to, minutes of Board of Director meetings. The member or his duly appointed attorney must provide the Board of Directors written notice at least five business days before the date on which the member wishes to inspect and copy any such records.
See North Carolina General Statues 47F and 55A and other information in the Resource Center of this website for more information about HOA records and the requirements to maintain and inspect them.
